We are a young family in Reykjavík (originally from Switzerland and Germany) who had the idea to create an absolutely unique getaway for two in Iceland where it is possible to watch the northern lights and the midnight sun right out of the bed or the private hot pool.

That’s why we designed the Panorama Glass Lodge. Our houses were the first in Iceland where it is possible to sleep under a glass ceiling. The first Lodge was ready to book in December 2017 after a long planning and designing phase.

The most important point for us were the benefits for our guests: Privacy, quality and an unforgettable experience in the spectacular icelandic scenery. Therefore we decided to build just a few houses on a huge piece of land instead of many houses on a tiny piece of land to avoid the feeling of staying in a resort.

Even though the cabins are out in the nature, our guests can still enjoy luxury, high quality standards and extraordinary design.

The shape of the Lodge is inspired by scandinavian houses and the combination of wooden elements with steel and glass makes the Lodges unique. The interior is completely custom made whereby high value was attached on the details.

At the beginning the Lodge was meant for honeymooners and as a romantic getaway but when it got featured in several print and online media (i.e. Maxim, The Telegraph, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Dwell, Süddeutsche Zeitung and many more – see media) a lot of people just wanted to visit to see the scenery and get nice pictures from the "bed with a view". Our tiny business went extremely popular in a short time and due to the high demand we now build two more Glass Lodges on a different but also very beautiful location in south Iceland. They will be ready at the end of this year.

I can't say enough good things about this very special place. We adored it! Iceland is very easy to fall in love with  but this place makes you go head over heals for it. Will definitely return!
